Zervant – A New Small Business Tool that Makes Invoicing, Time Tracking, and Collecting Customer Feedback Enjoyable for Freelancers and Self Employed

September 11th, 2010

Zervant.com It’s been a while since I updated this blog as I’ve been quite busy helping to build a new invoicing and time tracking software called Zervant, targeting freelancers, sole proprietors, independent contractors, and self employed.

If described in one sentence you could say it is your personal business assistant online. I feel it is a completely new way of doing business easily and it takes care of all the (painful) admin work related to running a micro sized business. It offers easy time tracking, online invoicing, collecting and analyzing customer feedback, as well as bookkeeping. Work that I normally feel is taking a lot of valuable time and is away from productive work.

The Apple iPad is Great – Still Provides Room for Improvements

May 4th, 2010

The iPad Being based in the EU at the moment, I finally got my iPad yesterday and have now spent some quality time with it the last 32 hours. First impression has been extremely good even if it did not take long to figure out what the iPad 2.0 will need to provide.

On the other hand, what I wanted to do was to transfer all my SMS text messages, the call logs and the access points (APNs) from the Hero to my new N1. Unfortunately, Google has upgraded the format of Android’s SMS storage as the Hero is running Android 1.5 while the N1 one is on v.2.1, so just creating a backup on the Hero and restoring the messages on the N1 was not possible without some tweaks. So far, this has been tested only for HTC Hero to Nexus One, but I’m sure other < v.2.0 Android phones can use the same process.

Luckily for people living in the US, UK, Hong Kong or Singapore, you can order it directly from Google from their web store.
