Samsung Galaxy Tab vs. Apple iPad

I’ve had my Samsung Galaxy Tab (EU version with 3G) for just over a week now, great device. I’ve also used the Apple iPad (Wifi only version) for about 6 months and I wanted to do quick comparison between the two. Both devices are great, just different. Which one is more suitable for your needs depends on what you are looking for. Overall, I vote slightly in favor of the iPad for the moment because of its great battery life and sleekness of the UI but I still have hopes that the next couple of Android OS updates will even this out.

To keep things simple, I’ve listed the good and bad for respective tablet below. The good means that it clearly beats the competitor. I decided not to separately highlight stuff where they are evenly good (or bad).

How to Automatically Sync Your Contacts & Calendar Between a Nokia Phone, iPhone, Gmail and Outlook / Mac iCalendar / Address Book on multiple computers

Contacts sync I have a lot of gadgets in use and I really don’t like keeping separate versions of my contacts (~500 of them) and my calendar. Therefore, I’ve done the painful work of trying to find the perfect and free solution for syncing them between all my different digital storages automatically over the Internet including a Nokia E71 phone, an iPhone, an HP 2140 HD laptop running Windows XP with local mail and calendar software (currently Outlook 2007), a Mac Mini as well as Gmail contacts and Google calendar for online access. I really recommend you back up your data properly before starting a journey like this. Once done, you should be care free of backups and up to date versions of your stuff.
